Alex Rubbish & Recycling offers residential and commercial garbage service, recycling, and roll off container rental service.
We now service the Parkers Prairie surrounding area along with parts of Ottertail County.
NO contracts to sign and NO hidden fees.
ARR also owns and operates a demo landfill and transfer station accepting household goods, yard waste, demolition, and scrap steel.
Residential garbage service is picked up once per week. There are three can sizes available. Below is a diagram of approximately how many bags each can holds. If you have any questions you can call the office and we will help you pick a can that will fit your household.
Residential Holiday Schedule
If routes are effected by a holiday we will post information on our website, Facebook page, and local radio stations.
If the holiday falls on or before your normal pick up day, your service will be one day late.

Yard Waste has ended for the season but will resume in the spring.
Yard Waste service is provided for a fee, customers must call the office and sign up for service. It’s offered for our customers within the City of Alexandria and the surrounding 2-mile radius every Thursday. The pickup season generally runs May – Oct depending on the weather. If not already signed up, please call the office asap as we do cap this seasonal program due to the lengthiness of the route.
ARR customers that do not have Yard Waste may drop it off for free at the Douglas County Demo Landfill. All Yard Waste must be in Bio-degradable bags or unbagged when dropped off.
